Mawi Beach

Lombok Island is not only famous for its Gili islands, but there is one beach was very famous with the beautiful views named Mawi beach which is a hidden beach behind a hill in Mekarsari village,in Central Lombok about 12 km from Kuta beach, Lombok.

Mawi beach offers a great waves for surfing lovers/surfer. Mawi beach was famous for its huge waves, and that's why this beach is visited by many foreign tourists who love surfing sport, so the beach is known as a heaven for the international surfers. In addition to the big waves, Mawi Beach also has very beautiful view, with a mix of blue and green natural colors, clean white sand roundly shaped like a pepper, with views of the hills surrounding the coastal areas like green round guardrail would spoil the eyes every visitors who come to this beach. You can climb to the hill to see the broader landscape and stunning, there you can find different types of wildflowers are very pretty.

If you want to try a regular waves roll, you can come to this place about a month from May to October which is a perfect time to enjoy the big roll of the waves.

How to get there

You will only travel a distance of about 16 km from Lombok International Airport located in Tanak Awu, Praya in Central of Lombok. This beach located on the left side of Selong Belanak Beach, the beach located behind the hills, here you can see the beach even Selong Belanak from Mawi Beach location.
